THE BEST BEACHES IN THE UK

Best Beaches to Visit This Summer in the UK

Who doesn’t love a beach holiday? Warm sand between your toes, sea salt in the air and a cold 99 ice cream in your hand. The UK is home to some of the world’s best beaches and with the British Seaside being a nostalgic getaway for many we thought we would tell you our favourite across England, Scotland and Wales.

Our first visit takes us up to the magical coasts of Scotland. Just off the isle of Skye is a true paradise of a white sand beach surrounded by Scottish hills and countryside – Luskentyre Beach. The second your toes hit the beach, you will forget you are in Scotland, but feel transported to a tropical island. Only 24-minute drive from Minch View Campsite, a Camping and Caravanning Club site, you would be a fool not to visit. Set up camp on the hardstanding pitches with electric hook up on the pet friendly site and begin your Celtic adventure right.

From the tippy top of the country to the deep Southwest, Cornwall is home to some of the most stunning beaches you have ever seen. From Widemouth Bay Beach to Sennen Cove Beach, you will find pet friendly, family friendly, great surfing beaches that stretch the length of the coastline. Perfect for holiday makers who love the adventure, why not kick your holiday off at Bude Camping and Caravanning Club Site, where dogs are welcome and there is a kids play area and end up in the tranquil Sennen Cove Camping and Caravanning Club Site? Sennen cove offers 72 pitches, hardstanding, or grass, with electric hook-ups. During the summer season you can enjoy delicious fish and chips from the van that visits the site twice a week and cook fresh produce from the Sennen Village Hall farmers’ market every Tuesday.

Our final spot is in the land of the dragons, beautiful Wales. On the coast of the Irish Sea, you will find the stunning New Quay (not to be confused with the surfer town in Cornwall). This quaint little town is home to two beaches, Harbour Beach and Dolau Beach. Harbour Beach is hidden away below the leaning terraces of the village and will amaze you with its clean and clear waters that you can swim in for hours.

Dolau Beach is Harbour beaches dog friendly neighbour. You will find it on the other side of the harbour wall hidden below the cliff tops.

These enchanting Welsh coves, and beaches are easily discovered from the Cardigan Bay Camping and Caravanning Club Site in Ceredigion. As well as being home to numerous shops and a service point, Ceredigion is a nature-lovers paradise and has plenty of attractions for families. Your four-legged family members are welcome and as per usual, there is a children’s play area to entertain the kids.
